Egyptian authorities to allocate funds for implementation of almost 600 projects in Giza

Funds will be allocated to transport, education and construction spheres

Egyptian authorities have allocated a total of EGP 82,7 billion (US$1,75 billion) to 586 development projects in Giza province, based on the investment plan for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, as reported by
Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS, citing the country’s Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

The amount of funds earmarked for the development of Giza increased by 8,8 per cent compared to the previous fiscal year. Projects in several sectors, including transport (EGP 35 billion or US$738 million), housing (EGP 32 billion or US$675 million), higher education (EGP 5,6 billion or US$118 million), pre-university education and antiques trade, will receive the money.

The governorate of El Giza will also receive EGP 2,7 billion (US$56,9 million) for the delivery of drinking water and sanitation.
