Egypt’s Kafr El-Sheikh Museum hosts major chess competition for World Chess Day
The event is part of a wider programme of cultural and educational activities designed to promote heritage awareness and community engagement
The Kafr El-Sheikh Museum, Located in Egypt’s Nile Delta region, hosted the largest chess competition in the governorate, in partnership with the Kafr El-Sheikh Culture Palace and the Directorate of Youth and Sports.
The event was organised to mark World Chess Day, and is part of a wider programme of cultural and educational activities designed to promote heritage awareness and community engagement, as reported by
Sada El-Balad, a partner of TV BRICS.
The museum’s administration explained that the chess tournament is one of several initiatives celebrating the international occasion and reinforcing the museum’s mission to foster greater cultural literacy.
