Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation discusses enhancing cooperation on green projects with UNIDO’s Regional Director

Such meetings aim to create innovative and atypical ideas for public projects using the latest innovation management techniques

Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation of Egypt, met with Patrick Jean Guillabert, Regional Director and Representative of the Regional Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), to discuss joint cooperation. During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between Egypt and UNIDO in the fields of industrial development and green industry, as well as ongoing cooperation projects were discussed.

Rania Al-Mashat highlighted the importance of co-operation with UNIDO to achieve sustainable industrial development in line with the priorities of the Egyptian Government. The two sides also discussed UNIDO’s involvement in various projects aimed at supporting green industries and the transition of manufacturing companies to renewable energy.

The agency’s efforts on climate, water, food and energy, as well as ensuring effective management of natural resources and empowering women and girls were also discussed within the framework of cooperation. This is reported by the website of Ministry of International Cooperation of Egypt.

Measures aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Government of Egypt and UNIDO in the field of technology and innovation through workshops and technical assistance to the private sector were also discussed.
