On 17 October 2025, the forum of responsible business “SO.ZNANIE” will take place at the “Mayak Academy” named after A. D. Sakharov in Nizhny Novgorod. TV BRICS is the media partner of the event. Participants will discuss practical approaches to the sustainable development of Russian regions and strengthen cooperation between business and the state.
Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin linked the choice of the forum’s venue with the historical continuity of local business.
“Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs have historically taken responsibility for the territory of their presence. The task of the forum is to find effective measures to support such responsible business and attract new players. I am confident that this event will become an excellent platform for the exchange of experience,” said the head of the region.
The business programme will be divided into three tracks: “Ecology”, “People”, and “Business–State Partnership”. The key focus will be the presentation of the corporate demographic standard, as well as discussions on employee support measures. The forum will conclude with an award ceremony for the leaders of the “Environmental, Social, and Governance” (ESG) business reputation rating in the Volga Federal District.
Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District (CFD) Igor Shchyogolev highlighted the practical value of the rating for business.
“In an era when consumers and partners choose those they can trust, participation in the ‘Environmental, Social, and Governance’ rating is an investment in the future of a company. This means that the rating can be used as a practical tool for public–private partnership,” he added.
The national “Environmental, Social, and Governance” rating evaluates companies in three areas: environmental responsibility, employee care, and cooperation with the state. In 2025, the ESG forum and the “SO.ZNANIE” sustainable development forum will be held on the same platform for the first time. The event is organised with the support of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District.
