Brazilian exports hit an all-time level in 2023, totalling $339.7 bn
Brazil’s Vice-President and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) Geraldo Alckmin congratulated Brazilian companies on record exports in 2023. He admited that it was the result of the Lula government’s “consistent trade policy”.
Brazil’s trade balance reached a record surplus in 2023 ($98.8 billion), according to the agency’s Foreign Trade Secretariat. It is the highest level since the historical series began in 1989.

“My congratulations to the 28.5 thousand Brazilian companies that helped Brazil to reach this record, creating jobs and income for our citizens, paying high wages and employing skilled labour,” the vice president wrote in his social networks.
