India launches implementation of advanced postal technologies across country

Indian Post has launched its nationwide implementation of Advanced Postal Technology, heralding a major leap forward in the country’s digital transformation. The initiative, part of the broader IT 2.0 programme, has been lauded as a modernisation effort. This is reported by
ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.

The platform, developed domestically, aims to enhance real-time decision-making, expand e-commerce reach, reduce operational expenses through automation, and provide citizen-centric, mobile-ready services regardless of location.

The Advanced Postal Technology rollout is expected to bring increased agility and competitiveness to Indian Post’s extensive network, positioning it for success in a rapidly changing logistics and communications environment.

Earlier this month, India Post announced that the Advanced Postal Technology had been successfully rolled out across 1.64 thousand post offices in under three months, marking a historic digital shift.

“This platform is more than just a system upgrade; it’s a Made-in-India solution for a more connected, efficient, and responsive postal network,” India Post said on social media.

As India Post embraces this technology-driven transformation, it is setting the stage for a new chapter in postal services, one that goes beyond traditional letters and parcels to empower digital connectivity and enhanced public service.
