The Republic of India will showcase its scientific and technological potential in the TV BRICS media space. To this end, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), India’s leading professional organisation in electronics, telecommunications, information technology, computer science and related high-technology fields, will cooperate with the international media network. In New Delhi, where the 18th BRICS Summit is taking place, a partnership agreement was signed by TV BRICS CEO and Editor-in-Chief Janna Tolstikova and Chairman of the IETE Technical and Research Publications Committee Dr. D. C. Pande.

IETE was founded in 1953. Its headquarters are located in New Delhi. IETE works to advance India’s engineering community and scientific and technological capabilities. The institution has dozens of regional centres and student chapters across the country, enabling it to play an active role in engineering education and the dissemination of modern technologies. The Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) and as an educational institution of national eminence in engineering education.
TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova stressed the importance of training highly qualified professionals and supporting technological progress for the development of the global economy. Today, the international media network creates all the necessary conditions within its information space to popularise scientific knowledge, enhance the standing of researchers, and promote professional interaction and the exchange of expertise among specialists from different countries. In her view, the inclusion of IETE in the TV BRICS agenda will undoubtedly broaden the range of engineering-related content and contribute to strengthening the technological sovereignty of the Republic of India.
Today, more than 30 institutions from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Ethiopia, Cuba and Nepal cooperate with TV BRICS in science and higher education. For example, over the course of the year, the international intergovernmental research organisation Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, the International Competence Centre for Mining Engineering Education under the auspices of UNESCO at Empress Catherine II Saint Petersburg Mining University (Russia), and the Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory (China) joined the media network’s group of partners.
Earlier in New Delhi, India’s largest news agency Press Trust of India and the National Institute of Design announced the start of joint activities with TV BRICS.
