Indonesia has begun implementing its National Productivity Enhancement Plan 2025–2029, aimed at boosting innovation, strengthening industrial competitiveness, and improving living standards.
The programme sets a target: to place the country among the world’s five largest economies by 2045, according to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.
Under the plan, the government intends to revive vocational training programmes and establish “talent and innovation centres”. Key priorities include enhancing coordination between public bodies, upskilling the workforce, and fostering a culture of efficiency and productivity.
Rachmat Pambudy, Minister for National Development Planning, emphasised that the initiative will bolster the country’s productive ecosystem through investment, infrastructure development, and the adoption of new technologies, drawing on successful examples from other Asian nations.
The move marks a critical step towards achieving sustainable growth and fulfilling the strategic vision of a “Golden Indonesia 2045”.
