Indonesian government to launch investment projects to create jobs
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced the government’s plans to launch 30 strategic investment projects in various sectors of the economy during this year. This is reported by
Antara News.
According to Prabowo Subianto, these large-scale projects, dubbed “megaprojects”, are aimed at attracting capital to strategically important sectors of the economy, both in processing and mining of raw materials. Special attention will be given to the development of agriculture and fisheries, which the government believes have huge potential to create jobs and increase foreign exchange earnings for the country.
He emphasised that the implementation of these projects will create about 8 million new jobs for Indonesian citizens.
Subianto is confident that the new investment programme will be a key factor in strengthening Indonesia’s economy.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this initiative will become a new source of power and energy for Indonesia’s future,” he said.
