Iran and Belarus sign aviation safety cooperation agreement to boost engineering and airworthiness standards

Iran and Belarus have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of aviation engineering and airworthiness, as reported by
Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

The agreement was concluded during the visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, with the aim of strengthening ties in aviation and creating a framework for exporting engineering services.

Under the agreement, the two countries will mutually recognise each other’s airworthiness certificates. This measure is expected to enable domestic companies to supply spare parts, equipment, and services to international markets, while fostering economic growth and trade development in the aviation industry.

The cooperation also includes the development of maintenance and repair centres, aircraft design and manufacturing projects, and the promotion of knowledge-based companies. Officials noted that the agreement could serve as a model for future cooperation with other states, with consultations already under way to sign additional memoranda of understanding with several countries.

From a political perspective, such agreements not only strengthen international relations but also encourage regulatory alignment between countries.
