Iran and Russia launch new artistic exchange under Strategic Partnership

In a move to bolster cultural diplomacy, Iran and Russia have agreed to enhance their artistic collaboration, marking a new chapter in their bilateral relations. This development was highlighted during a meeting in Moscow between Kazem Jalali, Iran’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and Vasily Tsereteli, President of the Russian Academy of Arts. This is reported by

Ambassador Jalali underscored the importance of deepening mutual understanding through art, noting that Iran and Russia, as neighboring countries with rich cultural heritages, stand to benefit from closer artistic exchanges.

The meeting also served as a platform to discuss upcoming cultural events, including the Russian Cultural Days in Iran scheduled for June.

This initiative aligns with the broader context of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between Iran and Russia in January 2025. The agreement encompasses various sectors, including culture, and aims to foster long-term cooperation between the two countries .
