Iran discovers 37 artifacts in Tabriz, four of which are historically reliable
A clay seal with Arabic script from the Islamic period was also found
Iranian authorities have announced the discovery of 37 artefacts in the city of Tabriz, of which four have been confirmed as historically authentic. The operation was carried out by the Iranian Protection Unit of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Organisation. This is reported by
Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
According to the research team, the four genuine items identified include a clay pot and several handled and handleless jars dating back to the first millennium BCE, as well as a clay seal with Arabic script from the Islamic period.
The remaining 33 items were found to be contemporary reproductions made of stone and clay, depicting figures of humans, birds, and a pair of bulls, lacking any historical value.
Additionally, 14 beads made of various materials and 16 natural stones were also recovered. Experts confirmed these items as modern and without archaeological significance.
