Iran is interested in strategic cooperation with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital economy. This statement was made by the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran, Seyed Mohammad Atabak, reports
BelTA, a partner of TV BRICS.
The head of the Iranian ministry outlined specific areas for joint work.
“We are ready to cooperate with the EAEU in such areas as the integration of communication and data exchange infrastructure, the creation of common communication networks and data processing centres, the unification of legislation and the simplification of regulation in the field of the digital economy and advanced industries,” said the Minister.
He also noted that the countries of the Eurasian region need to make joint efforts to counter unilateral approaches to the governance of the digital sphere.
According to the Iranian minister, humanity stands on the threshold of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will lead to the creation of “Industry 4.0”. The foundation of this process will be big data, artificial intelligence and the internet of things.
Iran is convinced that the Eurasian region, thanks to its geographical position, resources and scientific potential, can become one of the global centres of AI development.
