Iran to host International Astronomy Week

The series of events will draw people’s attention to the development of science and introduce the latest discoveries

International Astronomy Week in Iran will be held from 13 to 19 May, as reported by
Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS. The event aims to popularise science, the publication said.

The Astronomy Week programme includes virtual and face-to-face meetings and lectures from amateur circles that will share their knowledge with the Astronomical Society of Iran.

Participants of the event will be able to join day and night observations of space objects, webinars and scientific conferences, as well as visit thematic pavilions.

The International Astronomy Week aims to highlight the development of astronomical infrastructure in Iranian cities. It will also provide an opportunity for all those interested in space to expand their knowledge.
