Iranian grandmaster Mohammad Amin Tabatabaei has secured an early victory at the 22nd Karpov International Chess Tournament in Russia, finishing unbeaten.
According to the
Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS, Tabatabaei clinched the prestigious title even before the final round, underscoring his dominance throughout the event.
After eight rounds, the grandmaster had accumulated 5.5 points, maintaining a 1.5-point lead over his nearest rival, enough to guarantee his unchallenged triumph in the tournament.
