The Presidents of Russia and Iran, Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian, held telephone talks. This is reported by the official
website of the Russian President.

“Discussed extensively the issues of further development of Russian-Iranian cooperation on the basis of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries,” stated in the message.

It is noted that the leaders paid special attention to the expansion of trade and investment ties, as well as joint projects in the field of transport and energy.

It is stressed that Pezeshkian congratulated his Russian counterpart on the 80th anniversary of the Victory.

In addition, Putin once again expressed condolences over the tragedy in the Iranian port of Shahid Rajaee. Pezeshkian, in turn, thanked the Russian side for the assistance rendered in eliminating the consequences of the incident.

The Presidents also agreed to coordinate work on foreign policy direction.
