Iranian team wins Almaty Table Tennis Championship
The teams that took the first and second places won tickets to the 29th Asian Youth Championship, which will be held in Uzbekistan
During the final day of the Central Asian Table Tennis Championships, Iran’s boys’ team faced Kyrgyzstan. According to
Pars Today, a partner of TV BRICS, the Iranian team secured its victory, earning the regional championship title.
The Iranian team won the youth tournament, Kazakhstan came in second, Uzbekistan came in third, and Kyrgyzstan closed the table. The Kazakh youths, having taken second place, won a ticket to the Asian Championship together with the Iranians.
Among the girls, the first place was taken by the Iranian team, the second place was taken by the representatives of Uzbekistan. The Kazakh women finished third, the fourth place went to the Kyrgyz team.
Earlier, Iranian squash player Fereshteh Eqtedari claimed bronze at the International Squash Competition in India, defeating multiple opponents in straight sets before a hard-fought 3-1 semi-final against India’s Anahata Singh.
