Iranian trade delegation visits Moscow to strengthen economic and media cooperation

The recent Iran–Eurasian Economic Union free trade agreement is expected to increase trade volume

A high-level Iranian trade delegation, led by the head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to visit Moscow next week as part of efforts to deepen economic ties and strategic collaboration with Russia, said Iran’s Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali. This is reported by
Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS,

Ambassador Jalali also underscored the importance of media in building public support and shaping a robust partnership between the two nations. He stressed that enhanced media collaboration could reinforce growing bilateral relations and contribute to the strategic goals set by the leadership of both countries.

Jalali stated that Tehran and Moscow are actively working to finalise a comprehensive cooperation treaty and are progressing on major joint initiatives, including the International North–South Transport Corridor and energy partnerships such as the transfer of Russian gas to Iran.

He also highlighted the recent implementation of the Iran–Eurasian Economic Union
free trade agreement, which removes tariffs on around 90 per cent of goods. This, he noted, is expected to significantly increase trade volume and drive forward economic integration.
