Iran’s junior Greco-Roman wrestlers crowned Asian champions



The team secured a total of nine medals

Iran’s national junior Greco-Roman wrestling team has claimed the overall title at the Asian U20 Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This is reported by
Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

With a dominant performance, the team secured a total of nine medals: four gold and five bronze, finishing first in the overall rankings with 185 points. 

The host nation Kyrgyzstan came in second with 166 points, while Uzbekistan took third place with 151 points.

The Iranian wrestlers delivered standout performances in multiple weight classes. Gold medals were earned by Payam Ahmadi (55 kg), Ahoora Bouyeri (77 kg), Mohammad-Hadi Seyedi (97 kg), and Abolfazl Fathi Tezangi (130 kg).
