Kazakhstan and Russia advance 175 joint industrial projects

Kazakhstan and Russia are jointly implementing 175 industrial projects with a total value of US$56.6 billion, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding production capacity across multiple sectors. The projects are expected to create over 64,000 new jobs in both countries, as reported by
Kazinorm, a partner of TV BRICS.

The announcement followed a meeting between Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Construction, Yersain Nagaspayev, and Russia’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, held in Moscow as part of Nagaspayev’s working visit.

During the talks, the ministers reviewed the current state and future prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two nations, placing a particular emphasis on industrial collaboration and technological partnerships.

Key areas of focus include automotive and railway engineering, metallurgy, the chemical industry, and construction materials production. The two sides highlighted the growing role of industrial integration in boosting mutual trade, enhancing competitiveness, and diversifying production chains.

Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation, developing new supply chains, and creating favourable conditions for joint ventures and private sector engagement.

The meeting also served as part of broader preparations for the upcoming state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Russian Federation, during which further industrial and economic agreements are expected to be discussed.

The ongoing partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia continues to demonstrate strong momentum, reinforcing their shared commitment to sustainable industrial growth and long-term economic integration within the Eurasian region, the source claimed.
