Production of electric vehicles under a national brand is set to begin in Kyrgyzstan. The plant is scheduled to commence operations in the third quarter of 2026, with a planned production capacity of up to 10,000 vehicles per year. This was reported by

The project is fully funded by an investor. The state has provided support by allocating a 15-hectare plot of land. As the project progresses, an automotive industrial cluster will be established, designed for the production and assembly of passenger and specialised vehicles with electric motors.
In the initial phase, vehicles will be produced using a semi-knock-down assembly method. In the future, the plant will move to small-assembly production and then to a full production cycle. This will enable a gradual increase in the proportion of locally sourced components and the establishment of production of individual automotive components in Kyrgyzstan. As of today, the project is estimated to be 75 per cent complete.
The new plant will create around 100 jobs. It is expected to supply the domestic market with electric vehicles and produce an export product that will be in demand in the countries of Central Asia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Akchabar reported that the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission had increased Kyrgyzstan’s quota for the duty-free import of electric vehicles from 15,000 to 25,000. The decision will come into force on 20 August this year and will allow importers to continue importing electric vehicles duty-free within the new limit.
