Malaysia finalises preparations for 58th ASEAN foreign ministers’ meeting in Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia’s Foreign Minister is expected to conduct a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from ASEAN member states
Kuala Lumpur has concluded the ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting, setting the stage for the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and related sessions from 8 to 11 July 2025. The meetings will take place under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, which is guided by the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability.” This is reported by

Secretary-General of Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, confirmed that discussions proceeded smoothly, ensuring readiness for the week’s diplomatic engagements. He noted that the upcoming schedule includes the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and a series of ASEAN Plus One Post Ministerial Conferences with Dialogue Partners.

Senior representatives and secretaries-general from ASEAN member states attended the Senior Officials’ Meeting to finalise preparations and discuss pressing issues that will feature in the ministerial-level talks.
The 58th Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and its associated meetings will involve 24 ministerial-level engagements, including dialogues with ASEAN Dialogue Partners and Sectoral Dialogue Partners. The events, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will bring together approximately 1,500 delegates, including foreign ministers from ASEAN, and other regional partners, as well as senior officials from the ASEAN Secretariat.
