Malaysia opens national training week 2025 to all ASEAN citizens in regional skills drive



The initiative will offer more than 65,000 free training opportunities both in-person across Malaysia and online

Malaysia has announced that its National Training Week 2025 will, for the first time, be open to all citizens of ASEAN member states.

The initiative will offer more than 65,000 free training opportunities both in-person across Malaysia and online, making it the most extensive and inclusive programme of its kind in Southeast Asia. This is reported by

This programme under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship will offer a wide range of training in high-impact areas including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, green technologies, leadership development, and soft skills.

Acoording to experts, the move signals a strategic investment in ASEAN’s collective future, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in workforce development and positioning ASEAN as a globally competitive skills hub.

Malaysia has also set a target to engage at least 5 million participants across the region, with an estimated programme value exceeding US$600 million.
