More than 50 countries to take part in International Forum of Pharmaceutical Inspectorates in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is preparing to host the II International Forum of Pharmaceutical Inspectorates (IFPI) on 24–25 November 2025. The event will bring together representatives of regulatory authorities and experts in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing from more than 50 countries. The TV BRICS International Media Network acts as the event’s information partner.

Among the confirmed participants are specialists from Russia, China, the states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Africa, Asia, and other countries.

The forum will be held under the motto “Where the world unites for patient safety”. It is dedicated to harmonising Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards – international rules that ensure the quality of medicines. Its main objective is to develop unified approaches to pharmaceutical manufacturing inspections.

“When a medicine is produced in one country, packaged in another, and used in a third, the only way to guarantee its safety is through common standards and open dialogue,” said Vladislav Shestakov, Director of the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices and Deputy Head of the Russian GMP-Inspectorate.

The first day’s programme includes a plenary session on regulating pharmaceutical production with the participation of regulators from Belarus, Jordan, and Indonesia. Discussions on the production of sterile medicines with experts from Singapore are also planned.

The second day will focus on biological products and on issues of mutual recognition of inspection results between countries. A master class at a virtual VR factory will be organised for participants from Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Chile, and other states.

The forum programme includes practical workshops and panel discussions. Participants will discuss harmonisation of pharmaceutical manufacturing regulation and approaches to the inspection of biological products. The event will offer opportunities for networking and exchanging experience.
