Mozambique is poised to become an African leader in biofuel production
In a strategic move to advance the biofuels industry, the The Brazilian Union of Biodiesel and Biojetfuel (Ubrabio) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Mozambique and a Mozambican strategic and business consultancy firm.
This pioneering agreement was sealed during the Biodiesel and Biokerosene Forum in Sao Paulo, marking a new chapter in international cooperation for sustainable development, according to
Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.
The memorandum is a key part of Mozambique’s Economic Acceleration Programme, whose main objectives are to create jobs and attract private investment to the country.
The Mozambican consultancy firm will play a vital role as a specialist in business advice and consultancy, while Ubrabio will provide integral support to the initiative, facilitating the transfer of knowledge through studies, projects and research.
This agreement represents more than a partnership; it is a commitment to Mozambique’s energy future, outlining the terms and conditions for the planning, implementation and development of a robust and sustainable biofuels industry.
With the use of Brazilian technology, Mozambique is poised to become an African leader in the production of biofuels, promoting clean and renewable energy as a pillar of its economic growth.
