The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Njabulo Nzuza says this year’s operations for the Easter period will be mainly intelligence driven.
The Deputy Minister says this is done in order to deal with certain threats on the roads and other ports of entry.
Nzuza is leading a delegation of the senior management of the Border Management Authorithy (BMA) to updating Parliament about their state of readiness for the 2026 Easter period.
“We have done work in terms of intelligence threats as well as risk assessments which are part of our pillar action plans. We also deal with the proactive approach to make sure that we are prepared. We also deal with the combat approach and reactive approach and then we deal with communications and liaison which is very important because people must know and understand what will be happening in the area.”
