For example, Eurasia Expo, the third phase of which was discussed at the event, has become an excellent platform and platform for all active people who wish to work promptly, he emphasised.

During the speech, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalili also invited Russian companies to actively participate in the exhibition.

Leonid Lozhechko, Chairman of the Russian-Iranian Business Council at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasised that such events give a boost to business relations: “It is gratifying that exports from Iran to Russia have increased by almost 15 per cent. We are currently observing active events around various exhibition events and this confirms that Eurasia Expo is quite an impressive event.”

He also assessed the entry of co-operation in the logistics sector to a new level.

“As far as logistics is concerned, there is an increase in the number of logistics companies that operate today along the North-South corridor. We see a great potential of Russian and Iranian companies and we hope that in the near future we will overcome the threshold of transport volumes. In the near future, the BRICS transport ministers will meet at a forum in St Petersburg to present the North-South corridor model in a new format,” he underlined.

In an exclusive commentary to TV BRICS, Alireza Jafari, President of the Eurasia Exhibition and representative of Tehran’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Russia, explained why such events are particularly important

“All events, exhibitions contribute to the rapprochement of trade. When the economies of two countries come closer together, culture, politics, and many other spheres will follow it. We need to hold various events. At exhibitions, businesses get acquainted with other businesses. They begin to understand each other’s potential better. Together they start a trade turnover,” he said.

He also stressed that the organisers intend to hold a BRICS forum as part of the Eurasia Expo.

In summarising the results of the previous two exhibitions, the participants noted the special role of congress and exhibition activities in strengthening business cooperation between the two countries.
