
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the initiative of the Brazilian side, according to the
website of the Head of the Russian State.
During the conversation, the leaders discussed in detail issues related to the further development of bilateral cooperation in various areas in the context of preparations for the meeting of the Russian-Brazilian High-Level Commission on Cooperation, which is scheduled for February 2026.
The conversation also included an exchange of views on the current international agenda. The parties agreed to continue coordinating their efforts through the United Nations (UN) and BRICS.
Putin and Lula da Silva agreed to resume the work of the high-level bilateral commission during talks in May last year at the Kremlin.
