Rise Mzansi MP Makashule Gana says the party hopes that the case around the Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo, will be dealt with swiftly.
General Khumalo and other senior police officials were arrested at the O.R. Tambo International airport in Johannesburg.
Reports suggest this could be in connection with alleged unlawful appointments. Khumalo and others are appearing in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Gana called for matters to be handled swiftly to ensure that justice is served.
“We would like to see swift justice and proper investigation on these matters to ensure that justice is served. People who are involved in crime and alleged unlawful arrest appointments, and also cover up certain crimes, face the full might of the law,” adding “We would like to see this matter being properly investigated so that if they are guilty, they are convicted of the crimes that they are being alleged to have committed.”
