Russia harvests over 85 million tonnes of grain

The harvest of the new crop in Russia is now in its most active phase: 85 million tonnes of grain have already been harvested, of which over 64 million tonnes is wheat. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, according to the official
website of the Russian Government.

“This volume of grain already fully meets our domestic needs. At the same time, the pace of harvesting and crop yields are ahead of last year’s levels. All this allows us to maintain the forecast harvest at 135 million tonnes,” he said during a working trip to the Stavropol Territory.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted positive results in livestock farming, emphasising that the output of finished products remains at last year’s level.

According to Patrushev, in 2025, the government allocated more than 500 billion roubles (over US$6 billion) to support the agro-industrial complex. An additional 2 billion roubles (about US$24.8 million) has been approved to subsidise new loans.
