Russia holds the top position as the primary oil exporter to both India and China

According to an OPEC report, Russia is the leading exporter of oil to China and India in September

The global organisation highlighted that Russia’s share of China’s total oil purchases this month was almost 19 per cent, Saudi Arabia’s was 14 per cent and Malaysia’s share was around 11 per cent. This is reported by
Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.

Overall, crude oil imports from China in September fell 11 per cent from August to 11.2 million bpd.

Russia has been India’s top oil supplier for a year now, accounting for 36 per cent of the country’s total imports in September.

Iraq and Saudi Arabia each accounted for 20 per cent of India’s purchases, and the country’s total oil imports in September fell 4 per cent from August to 4.3 million bpd, the lowest level this year.
