Myanmar’s Acting President Min Aung Hlaing met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace, mapping out new avenues of cooperation. This is reported by the

President Putin welcomed the visiting leader, noting that bilateral ties have been consistently expanding since diplomatic relations were established over 70 years ago.

The Acting President, in turn, emphasised Myanmar’s intention to strengthen cooperation by expanding its consular presence in Russia.

Talks covered a wide spectrum of issues, including peaceful nuclear energy, investment, agriculture, education, healthcare, and pharmaceutical production. Both leaders also stressed the potential for joint projects aimed at advancing science, technology, and sustainable growth.

The meeting was attended by senior Russian officials, including aides to the President, government ministers, and the Governor of the Central Bank.
