Russian Minister outlines plans to develop air connectivity with BRICS
The country will also support eco-friendly transport technologies
Russia’s Minister of Transport, Vladimir Poteshkin, announced the country’s readiness to expand air connectivity with BRICS nations. This was stated in a release on the
official website of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
It is noted that during the second meeting of the heads of transport departments of the group’s member countries in Brasilia, Poteshkin shared Russia’s experience in modernising transport infrastructure, particularly airports.
The Minister’s counterparts, in turn, presented their own developments and expressed support for advancing international transport cooperation within BRICS, emphasising the importance of strengthening trade, economic and cultural ties between the countries.
It is emphasised that the heads of departments prepared a joint statement on the topic of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), which will be presented in October–November this year.
