Russian ministry of sport allocates US$2.7 million for grassroots sports initiatives in 2025
At least 30 non-profit organisations will receive funding
In 2025, the Russian Ministry of Sport is set to allocate approximately US$2.7 million in grants to bolster physical culture and sports initiatives. This funding aims to support non-profit organisations dedicated to promoting grassroots sports and physical culture.
Russian Minister of Sport Mikhail Degtyarev highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative, emphasising its role in expanding sports participation and fostering a healthier society. This is
reported by the Russian Ministry of Sport.
The programme, part of the “Sport of Russia” state initiative, will focus on key areas, including engaging rural communities, supporting newly integrated regions, and promoting youth participation in active lifestyles.
At least 30 winning organisations will receive funding to implement projects that will positively impact thousands of citizens.
This year, priority will be given to projects that introduce wellness programmes in rural areas and support the development of high-tech sports disciplines.
