Russian special economic zone expands industrial cooperation with BRICS+ countries

Since the start of 2026, representatives of the “Technopolis Moscow” Special Economic Zone (SEZ) have signed a number of memoranda of understanding and organised more than six visits to BRICS+ countries. The zone is actively developing ties with the member states of the group to attract foreign investment. This was reported on the website of the Mayor and Government of Moscow.

China, the United Arab Emirates, India and other countries have shown interest in the SEZ. Representatives of the SEZ held more than 3,500 business meetings with potential partners in 2026.

Across the 10 SEZ sites, production is localised at over 250 high-tech enterprises specialising in microelectronics, instrument engineering, biomedicine, IT and robotics.

In October 2026, the SEZ site will host the 4th International Forum of Special Economic Zones (IFSEZ-2026). Among its guests will be partners from the BRICS countries, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
