Students at Omsk State Technical University (OmSTU), a partner of TV BRICS, have developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-based voice recorder that enables speech to be fully transcribed into text, allowing users to subsequently listen to their notes and search for keywords. This was reported on the
website of the university.
The project’s developers pointed out that it is easier and quicker for busy people to speak a valuable thought aloud so as not to lose it. Artificial intelligence helps to process speech accurately and create an indexable structure so that these recordings can be easily found in the future.
The used AI “resides” directly on the device rather than in the cloud, so the data does not leave the closed loop. The developers have tested the app on a smartphone.
