Juan Fernando Holguin Flores, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Russia, stated in an interview with TV BRICS that Russian students may soon gain access to education in Ecuadorian higher institutions.

“I am working to ensure that Russian students can enrol in Ecuadorian universities. This is the first time in our practice,” the diplomat noted.

According to him, this initiative will be a logical continuation of the educational dialogue: currently, around 150 Ecuadorians receive scholarships annually to study at Russian universities.

The ambassador believes such initiatives create a “connecting chain” between the two countries, strengthening not only academic but also cultural ties.
