Seminars for hospitality industry workers to be held in 20 provinces of Iran

Representatives of this sphere will be trained to manage the quality of tourism services

Iran’s Ministry of Tourism intends to organise a series of training seminars for hospitality industry workers in the near future. The representative of the ministry Abutaleb Qasemi explained that they are planned to be held in 20 provinces of the country in mid-April.

The official noted that a multidisciplinary approach is needed in this field. He pointed out the importance of having special skills for those working in the public sector and tourism sites. This is reported by
Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

He added that the courses will be organised according to the priorities and needs of the tourism community, with specific areas relevant to each province.

Training sessions on insurance and tax regulation for managers of tourism establishments, restaurants and accommodation facilities, as well as workshops on energy efficiency for accommodation facilities will also be preferred. In addition, Qasemi highlighted an eight-hour refresher course for tour guides aimed at familiarising them with certain topics.

He noted that the workshops will be held at licensed training institutions in collaboration with the authorities of each province.
