Sergey Lavrov: relations between Russia and India form privileged strategic partnership

Talks were held in Moscow between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, and the Minister of External Affairs of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The sides focused primarily on preparations for the forthcoming visit of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to India for the annual Russia–India summit.

The meeting was held during the participation of the Minister of External Affairs of India in the meeting of the SCO Heads of Government Council member states in Moscow. This is already the sixth meeting between the heads of the foreign ministries of Russia and India this year.
