SPIEF offsite session is held in South Africa
A session of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum was held in Johannesburg.
“The Russia-Africa Business Dialogue is an established format that has been bringing together business representatives and officials from Russia and Africa at SPIEF since 2016. It is an important practical tool for expanding cooperation at various levels,” said Alexey Valkov, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The session discussed prospects for business co-operation between Russia and South Africa. Experts from the energy, trade and business spheres presented analyses of cooperation against the background of global changes.
“Russia and South Africa maintain sustainable relations based on mutual respect and a desire for joint development. We are not only strengthening trade ties but also endeavouring to seek new mutually beneficial agreements aimed at developing our countries and strengthening logistical routes,” said Oleg Savikov, Deputy Trade Representative to South Africa.
The 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place from 5 to 8 June 2024 in St. Petersburg.
