Thailand’s exports under free trade agreements (FTAs) have continued to grow steadily, driven largely by increased shipments to neighbouring Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) members and the bloc’s key dialogue partners. This is reported by
Thai PBS, a partner of TV BRICS.
According to the Commerce Ministry’s Department of Foreign Trade, Thai exports under FTAs exceeded US$53 billion during the first seven months of 2025, an increase of 11.57 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Officials said that exports under FTAs now account for more than 81 per cent of Thailand’s total overseas trade. The strongest growth came from neighbouring ASEAN markets through the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA), which generated more than US$18 billion.
Fresh durian topped the list of Thailand’s FTA exports during the first seven months of 2025, followed by vehicles, synthetic rubber (factice), unrefined platinum, and sugar.
Other major products included fresh fruit, processed chicken, tapioca chips, air conditioners, and automated machinery.
