Thailand’s investments in Dubai reach US$626 million over five years

Non-oil trade between Dubai and Thailand has grown significantly in recent years

The value of Thai direct investments in Dubai has reached approximately US$626 million over the past five years, according to Mohamed Ali Rashed Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers.

He expressed optimism that this figure will continue to rise, supported by ongoing efforts to deepen economic cooperation between the two sides, as reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

Lootah emphasised Thailand’s position as one of Dubai’s key trading partners within the ASEAN region, adding that the field presence is instrumental in strengthening private-sector engagement and unlocking new commercial opportunities.

Non-oil trade between Dubai and Thailand has grown significantly in recent years. Data shows that the volume aims to reach approximately US$6.5 billion, representing a 23 per cent increase from US$5.3 billion in 2023. This surge reflects the upward momentum in economic relations and highlights the strategic relevance of Thailand in Dubai’s international trade expansion plans.
