TV BRICS launches media cooperation with Republic of Indonesia

TV BRICS continues to strengthen its cooperation with the BRICS member and partner countries. The Republic of Indonesia, represented by its largest broadcaster TVRI, is joining the international media network’s information exchange. The cooperation agreement was signed by Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, and Iman Brotoseno, President Director of TVRI.

The partnership includes content exchange and joint media production aimed at developing international media communications and fostering an objective global information landscape. With the support of TV BRICS, Indonesia will gain access to relevant news and analytical materials from national media outlets of other countries and will be able to promote its own agenda within the BRICS+ media space.

“Our cooperation with Russia has always been strong, built on deep friendship and a shared vision for a fairer world. This new partnership between TVRI and TV BRICS is a moment of tremendous potential. It’s about more than just exchanging content – it’s about connecting Indonesian and Russian hearts. We are thrilled to be part of the BRICS+ media family, sharing our unique stories, and working together to ensure the voices of the Global South are heard loud and clear on the world stage,” said Iman Brotoseno.

The independent public broadcaster TVRI (Televisi Republik Indonesia), founded in 1962, is the oldest broadcasting organisation in the republic. It broadcasts in English, Indonesian, and regional languages, offering news, educational, entertainment, sports, and cultural programming. The broadcaster’s structure includes several main channels and 29 regional centres producing and airing local programmes. TVRI is available nationwide through terrestrial, satellite, and most pay-TV platforms.

Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, emphasised that cooperation with Indonesia will not only enrich the consolidated BRICS news agenda but also strengthen media communications along the ASEAN line.
