TV BRICS to present films by directors from the five countries at the Zero Plus festival

Special TV BRICS screenings will take place in Tyumen as part of the X International Film Festival “Zero Plus”, dedicated to children’s and family cinema

The X International Film Festival “Zero Plus”, dedicated to children’s and family cinema has started. The programme includes short feature films, animated films and documentaries by directors from BRICS countries.

TV BRICS is the media partner of the event.

The film festival selects feature, animated and documentary films for children, teenagers and family audiences from all over the world. These are films about friendship, family, adventure, culture, nature, relationships, and learning.

The festival’s audience annually includes about 10 thousand children and teenagers, parents and teachers in person, and more than 100 thousand online. This year 169 films from 40 countries were selected, more than 40 of them are Russian premieres. In addition, the festival films will be brought to more than 30 regions of Russia.

The TV BRICS International Media Network organises screenings of animated and documentary films by directors from the “five” countries.

On Wednesday, 4 October at 11:00 (local time) at the Sovremennik Centre for Culture and Art, on 5 October at 13:00 and on 6 October at 11:30 (local time) at the Slovtsov Museum Complex the following short animated films will be shown:

“Spark”, directed by Luca Tarti, Paulo Lima, 2022, Brazil

“Mind Duck,” directed by Lilly Nogami, 2022, Brazil.

“Lisa and her mole,” directed by Mordecai Sizolwenkosi Ndlovu, Nkosazana Mnisi, Fortune Maluleke, 2022, South Africa

“A girl named Nu Naita,” 2020, China.

“Seed” directed by Fabricio Rabachim, Flavia Rabachim, 2021, Brazil

“Shazam!” directed by Mayara Araujo, 2021, Brazil.

“Seasons of Blossom,” directed by Breno Souza, 2022, Brazil.

On 6 October at 13:00 (local time) at the Sovremennik Centre for Culture and Art, at 15:00 (local time) at the Slovtsov Museum Complex, and at 16:30 (local time) at the Cosmos Youth Theatre Centre, the following animated and documentary films directed by BRICS directors will be screened:

“Free Flying,” directed by Harikrishna Kunnath, 2020, India

“My beautiful grandmother,” directed by Kanisha Alur, 2021, India.

“The magic round dance,” directed by Lula Gonzaga, Tiago Delacio, 2021, Brazil.

“A girl named Nu Naita,” 2020, China.

“Seed,” directed by Fabricio Rabachim, Flavia Rabachim, 2021, Brazil.

The festival and its events are supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Tyumen Region Government and the Tyumen City Administration represented by the head of the city Ruslan Kuharuk.
