International analysts and experts from Global South countries are joining TV BRICS research projects. As part of this initiative, the international media network is beginning cooperation with the Institute for Cultural Exchange and Economic Development of BRICS+ countries (Portuguese: Instituto de Intercâmbio Cultural e Desenvolvimento Econômico dos BRICS+, iBRICS+) of the Federative Republic of Brazil. An agreement on joint activities was signed by TV BRICS CEO and Editor-in-Chief Janna Tolstikova and iBRICS+ Chair of the Board of Directors Melissa Carolina Cambuhy.
The partners will work to develop international ties between Global South countries, promote humanitarian and economic progress and strengthen the authority of BRICS.
“In the context of an international environment characterised by challenges and instability, BRICS has enormous potential to overcome prejudices and deepen dialogue between civilisations – whether through scientific and technological cooperation or by recognising the value of the diverse cultures and traditions of member countries, while always focusing on achieving consensus. I believe that the partnership between iBRICS+ and TV BRICS is a natural consequence of the synergy between our organisations,” said iBRICS+ Chair of the Board of Directors Melissa Carolina Cambuhy.
iBRICS+ is an independent South American think tank specialising in global governance, regional integration and sustainable development within the BRICS+ and Global South frameworks. It was established in 2024. Its headquarters are located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Based on its research and analytical work, iBRICS+ develops educational projects and cultural initiatives. In 2026, the iBRICS+ Award was established and will become an annual initiative. The award aims to recognise individuals and organisations that have made a significant contribution to strengthening the BRICS agenda.
Executive Producer of TV BRICS, Kristina Muravyova, noted that the international media network not only creates a common BRICS+ media space but also establishes conditions for intellectual and professional communication among experts from different countries. The in-depth analytical materials and large-scale research projects currently prioritised by TV BRICS help shape a vision of the future of BRICS and record important milestones in the development of the interstate group. Cooperation with the Institute for Cultural Exchange and Economic Development of BRICS+ countries will enrich the TV BRICS agenda with unique insights and analysis on the position of Global South countries and will reflect the views of Brazilian youth in research projects.
To bring together leading specialists and recognised figures from various fields of knowledge, a dedicated “Experts” project has been created on the TV BRICS portal. Among organisations working in science, technology and integration processes, the following have joined cooperation with the international media network over the past year: Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute(China), the international intergovernmental scientific research organisation Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (located in Russia), the Russian Research Institute of the Bakery Industry, the Centre for Integration and Cooperation between Russia and Latin America (founded in Argentina), and India’s Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.
