UAE hosts training programme on autism spectrum disorders
The training is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a deep understanding of PMT
The UAE is organising a special training programme on working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The programme is being organised by the Zayed Higher Organisation as part of the World Congress on Rehabilitation 2024. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
The training will focus on Psychomotor Therapy (PMT) and its application to help children with ASD. Specially designed masterclasses will help healthcare professionals, especially those working with children with ASD, to master this effective therapy method.
The programme will focus on the characteristics of the psychomotor system, its impact on child development, and the principles of using PMT to improve the motor, sensory, and cognitive skills of children with ASD.
The training is the first part of a two-stage course that will provide professionals with an in-depth knowledge of PMT and its use in helping children with ASD.
