Venezuela promotes tourism in Egypt and seeks bilateral cooperation
The Venezuelan Embassy in Egypt organised a working session with journalists to promote tourism in the country, as reported by
Venezolana de Television, a partner of TV BRICS, citing the press office of the Venezuelan Embassy in Egypt.
Ambassador Wilmer Omar Barrientos Fernandez emphasised the importance of having a communications wing in the strategy to position Venezuela in the global tourism market.
The diplomat highlighted Venezuela’s biological and cultural diversity, as well as the Ministry’s Strategic Plan for Tourism 2025-2031, which focuses on the country’s identity and cultural sovereignty.
Venezuela is presented as a country with great tourism potential, relying on innovation and preserving its identity. The embassy is organising familiarisation and press tours to bring representatives of the Egyptian tourism sector to Venezuela, including travel agencies, bloggers, influencers, and airlines.
The ambassador emphasised the importance of bilateral cooperation with Egypt, a country that aims to increase tourist traffic to 30 million tourists by 2028.
