The 2nd ASEAN Future Forum 2025 held a working lunch on the theme “A Future-ready ASEAN: Harnessing the Power of Emerging Technologies”, attended by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

In his speech, Prime Minister Chinh emphasised that the development of science and technology is an objective necessity and a strategic priority for Vietnam. He urged ASEAN countries to act decisively to embrace new technological trends. This is reported by

According to the Prime Minister, ASEAN needs to harmonise institutions, create an open environment for businesses and citizens, and develop infrastructure, human resources and smart governance with new technologies.

The participants discussed public-private partnerships in emission reduction technologies, training, development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem in ASEAN, harmonisation of digital identity standards, investment in artificial intelligence and semiconductors, development of digital infrastructure, and finding digital solutions for sustainable development.
