Constitution Day is celebrated in the Russian Federation on 12 December

This year Russia celebrates the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, which became the basic law of the state and a symbol of freedom and democracy.

Constitution Day, which is celebrated annually on 12 December, is an important state holiday and reminds of the importance of this document for all citizens of the country.

Head of State Vladimir Putin congratulated Russians on this significant date at a meeting with judges of the Constitutional Court. It is worth noting that the last amendments to the Constitution were made in 2020 and after their approval the document came into force.
