EAEU markets account for over half of Kyrgyzstan’s agricultural exports

More than half of Kyrgyzstan’s agricultural exports are directed to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), reports
Akchabar, a partner of TV BRICS.

Kyrgyzstan currently exports over 60 types of agricultural products to more than 80 countries worldwide. In 2025, the share of agricultural and processed goods in the country’s total exports rose significantly to 13.3 per cent, compared with 8.8 per cent in the previous year, reflecting strong sectoral growth.

EAEU countries remain the primary destination for Kyrgyz agricultural produce, supported by a unified economic space, the absence of customs barriers and simplified trade procedures. These conditions allow domestic producers to access regional markets more efficiently, reduce costs, and increase export volumes.

Statistics show that Russia and Kazakhstan were the leading importers. Exports to Russia were dominated by meat and dairy products, as well as fruit and vegetables, while shipments to Kazakhstan were driven by strong demand for similar categories, including poultry and fresh produce. Belarus imported Kyrgyz agricultural goods, consisting of meat and dairy products, animal feed and pasta.

The continued expansion of agricultural exports highlights Kyrgyzstan’s growing integration into regional supply chains and its strengthening position in international food markets. Officials note that deeper cooperation within the EAEU is expected to further boost export potential and support the development of the country’s agri-processing sector.
